Title Credits: Rush Image Tests

After I had worked out the different stages of the opening for the film Rush I sat about creating some images for the different points and to also try out the style that I hope to use for the animation, similar to using a storybroad.

Image 1
Image 1 - The arrows are meant to be James Hunt and Niki Lauda when they are racing each other in their early years when their rivalry started.
Image 2
Image 2 - This is one of two images that is meant to shown to Hunt winning against Lauda.
Image 3
Image 3 - This is the second image of the two and shows Lauda winning against Hunt.
Image 4
Image 4 - The next image shows the logos, at the time of the 1970s, of the two teams that Hunt and Lauda raced for in F1. On the left is the logo for McLaren which was the team Hunt raced for and on the right is the logo for Ferrari which was the team that Lauda raced for.
Image 5
Image 5 - This image is meant to be the rain before the 1976 German Grand Prix.
Image 6
Image 6 - Another image of Hunt and Lauda racing each other.
Image 7
Image 7 - For this image I wanted to show Lauda's crash. For this I used a loop to show that he has crashed and spun around before his car burst into flames. Here, however, I have made the arrow brake into a number of pieces.
Image 8
Image 8 - The part will show Hunt's arrow (on the top) racing along as normal with Lauda's arrow (on the bottom) moving along slower before picking up speed after Hunt's arrow has left the screen. This is meant to show Lauda winning in F1 while Lauda recovers from the crash. Lauda's arrow is still broken but the pieces have been put back together.
Image 9
Image 9 - The last shot will show the two arrows on the start line again as Lauda has come back to racing in F1 after his crash.

While I was making theses I started to think about the colours that I would be useing for the titles. I picked and red and white as theses were the colours of the cars that Hunt and Lauda were driving at the time. I also picked out some of the colours in the film so that it fitted in with the colours that appeared at that time period.
