For this task we were each given a phrase and had to create a story broad for it. The phrase I was given was "The end of days" so I felt that I had to do an apocalyptic scene with aliens. First sketch   First story broad Second story broad

In our 4th lesson we were looking at environments and how they can tell a story. We only had one task in this lesson and that was to design an environment based on the two words we were each given, mine were Circus and Intelligent . This task was a real struggle for me as my words don't go together meaning I was stuck for ideas. First drawing Second drawing

Character Workshop - Lesson 3

For our 3rd lesson we had to bring in a random object that we could use as a reference. I chose my three pom-pom key ring as I felt that it would be fun to use because of the chain and fur elements. After picking our objects we were then given a character that we had to redesign the object for so that it fitted in to their world. I was given a Minion from Despicable Me. My first idea was make the three pom-poms in to some type of creature that the Minion would accidentally release and be chased by. However, this didn't really work as this was more of a character than a prop, so for my second design I made it look like a type of grappling hock or gadget that could lower them down through a hole in the ceiling. First design Second design

Character Workshop - Lesson 2

In our second character workshop lesson we were asked to bring in an image of a character, I choose Cynthia from the Pokemon games. For this lesson we were looking at the way in which different shapes can make up a character's body and how it can hit to what type of character they are, be it that they are the strong type, the sidekick or the villain. After getting an understanding of how these shapes work we took the character we choose and tried to redraw them using different shapes. Cynthia from Pokemon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum

Simple style Iconic style Our first character workshop lesson was us getting an understanding of the different drawing styles that are used in animation. To do this we were each given a different character and had to draw them out in a new style, for this I got Popeye so I tried to draw him in the styles of "Simple" and "Iconic".
